- Check whether dimensional weight could apply.
- Test more than one package type for common products.
Standardize common orders
Once a product sells repeatedly, create a standard package recipe: package size, protection, label method, insert, weight, and storage location. That reduces mistakes and makes cost easier to predict.
Review every few months
Carrier rules, supply prices, and product mix change. Review your top package sizes and supply costs periodically so old assumptions do not quietly eat margin.
