Presentation matters, but margin still matters
Handmade and custom orders may benefit from tissue, cards, stickers, or branded-style touches. Those touches should be intentional because every insert and packaging layer adds cost, weight, and packing time.
Common supplies to consider
- Right-sized mailers or boxes for the product line.
- Inner sleeves or wrapping for presentation and moisture protection.
- Labels, thank-you cards, stickers, or inserts.
- Cushioning for fragile handmade items.
- Scale, labels, and organized packing area.
Avoid over-packaging first orders
Before scaling up, test the package with real product dimensions and customer expectations. A beautiful package that destroys margin is not a good long-term system.
